SENSE AND SIMPLICITY

To coincide with the announcement of changing Philips' tagline from 'Let's Make Things Better' to 'Sense and Simplicity', Philips Design held an international exhibition and produced a coffee table book showcasing a future vision of design at Philips. I was lucky enough to be part of the 'Glow' team exploring the engaging and enchanting ways to experience light and atmospheres. We developed a series of concepts that explore the future of lighting leveraging (at the time, cutting edge) LEDs and sensor controls to produce simple, intuitive atmospheric and magical lighting solutions. These were prototyped and made fully working for the exhibition and atendees invited to interact and play with the objects.

LIGHT BULBS AND LIGHT SHADES

Series of interactive LED lamp shades and bulbs that explore different means to interact with the light - twist, squeeze, turn to manipulate the light tone and color. Lamp shades no longer need bulbs, the user can interact with the surfaces to manipulate the color and tone through playful actions.

Chameleon Lamp

Show the light the color you want it to be to fit into the surroundings and the current mood.
